Tarangire National Park
Overview
Tarangire is the elephant capital of northern Tanzania. In the dry months the Tarangire River becomes the only permanent water for miles, pulling in enormous breeding herds along with lion, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and over 500 recorded bird species. The park's baobab-studded landscape is unlike anywhere else on the circuit and it is usually the first stop on our multi-day northern safaris.
