Overview
The Usambara Mountains in northeastern Tanzania are a patchwork of rainforest, tea farms, banana plantations and small villages, with viewpoints that drop away hundreds of metres to the plains below. Our four-day journey from Zanzibar takes in the Irente Viewpoint above Lushoto, the Mambo Highlands, the Mambo Caves and sunset over the Great Rift Valley, all at a walking pace far from the safari crowds.
